Prior to the ‘From Strategy to Department Action Plan‘ program we will have an intake meeting. We’ll discuss the structure of the organization, strategy and objectives. Together we will decide on the most optimal training structure and content. Besides that, the participants will receive a digital intake survey, asking them to think about what they want to get out of this training. With this information, we ensure the training to match perfectly with your learning goals.

AFTER THIS TRAINING:
  • participants have translated the company strategy into a concrete actionplan for their own department with clear (sub) objectives;
  • the (sub) objectives will be further elaborated into concrete action points with an annual plan;
  • within the context of the organisation’s strategy, participants are able to present their own department plan with confidence and enthusiasm;
  • the participants will have tools to actively manage the realisation of their actions and objectives
  • there will be an unambiguous method in the organisation for setting up departmental (action) plans;

CONTENT OF THE TRAINING

During the training From Strategy to Departmental Action Plan we help the participants to translate the company strategy and objectives into a well thought-out and feasible departmental action plan with (sub)objectives and KPIs. The training is spread out over 2 days. During the 1st training day (kick-off) we work on the development of the departmental action plan with concrete objectives and KPIs. We also pay attention to communicating the department plan. After the 1st training day, the participants are instructed to discuss their departmental action plan with their own team and to make adjustments if necessary. The 2nd training day (final) is focussed on presenting the departmental plans and discussing actions (and pitfalls) related to implementation.

Before the start of the 1st training day, the participants will go through an e-learning module. This online training is included in this program and ensures that all participants have the knowledge to get started with their own plans immediately during the training. Below you will find an overview of the most important subjects of the training. Since this training is only offered as an in-company training, there is plenty of room for questions from the participants.

With this in-company training you can design your own ‘learning journey’. We offer 4 default impact levels which, based on your needs, can be further expanded with over 20 learning modules.

Learning is a continuous process. Participating in a 2-day training From Strategy to Departmental Action Plan will be inspiring. We will guide you to design your Departmental Action plan, translate company strategy and objectives into concrete actions for your departments and we will share advice on how to realise implementation. Remember: strategy without action remains just a dream. That’s why we work with ‘learning journeys‘. In addition to a number of fixed learning journeys (Impact Level 1 – 4), we offer over 20 additional learning modules for our training courses. By default, this training comes with Impact Level 1. After registration you will receive a personalised invitation for the 2-day training From Strategy to Departmental Action Plan. In addition to practical information such as training dates, times and location, we also pay attention to creating context. What does this training entail? What can you expect and above all: how can you prepare yourself to get the most optimal result?

The training From Strategy to Departmental Action Plan is connected to learning objectives. But what do you want to get out of this training course? Prior to the 1st training day (kick-off), you will receive an invitation to our learning platform. An e-learning module is waiting for you. By completing this e-learning module you are (even) better prepared for the training. And all participants will have the same starting point. In the online learning platform you will also get to know the other participants.

The time has finally come: the 1st training day of From Strategy to Departmental Action Plan takes place. During this training day, we will immediately start translating the strategy and objectives of your company. What is your view on the strategy and objectives? What does this mean for you, your team and your department? What should your focus points be for next year?

Using a proven format, we translate your company’s strategy into a strategy at department level. We describe the goals for your team, with sub goals when necessary. More concrete = better! We also teach you how to present a strategy and plan in an interactive way to your team. And how to involve your team in the development and implementation of the department plan. A fun, energising and educational day!

After the 1st training day, you will have a clear picture of the impact on your department of the company strategy and objectives. You have translated the strategy and objectives of the company to your department and you have already made an action plan to realise these goals. In addition, we practiced ‘pitching’ your department plan to your team and management.

You are now going to work on the practical assignment: organise a strategy session with your team. You practice with pitching, but this session is mainly aimed at obtaining commitment and additional input. You will of course receive a number of tools from us to facilitate this in a fun way. The results of the strategy session with your team are used during the 2nd training day (final).

We will meet again approximately 2-4 weeks after the 1st training day. In the meantime, you have further refined your department plan, together with your team. You present this plan during the training. Not only do you receive feedback from the other participants and the trainer (s) on the content, but also on your presentation skills and enthusiasm! In addition, we will work with a number of tools & amp; skills that will help you in realising your department plan. After all: a plan is just a plan. And it remains nothing more than a dream if you don’t act on it!

Reflection is part of our DNA. And hopefully also in yours, because reflection is inextricably linked to your role as a leader. That is why we will evaluate the training together with you. How did you experience the training? What have been the most important learning moments? How do you look back on your own development during the training? Training should have an effect. We guarantee an average rating of at least an 8 (on a scale of 1-10). Do you rate your experience below an 8? Then we will solve that together. No additional costs apply. Simply because we don’t settle for less!
